Plaintiff was transported to the 28th Precinct, and requested on numerous occasions medical attention for his high blood pressure. He was denied medical attention, and suffered convulsions. Plaintiff was detained for approximately 24 hours before he was released before being arraigned. Defendant Officers Jose Hernandez and Fortune Douglas falsely stated to the New York Country District Attorney's Office that Plaintiff had committed a crime despite knowing that they lacked a legal and factual basis to allege Plaintiff committed any crime.
