Plaintiff repeatedly asked the POs if they were POs but they refused to answer her questions and instead tackled Plaintiff to the street for no reason, smashing Plaintiffs face into the ground and causing severe injury. POs then grabbed Plaintiff by the back of her head, slammed her face-first into the asphalt, and told her to \"shut the fuck up.\" Plaintiff was unlawfully handcuffed, forcibly pulled to her feat, and unlawfully searched. Even though nothing illegal was found Plaintiff was arrested and taken to the 7th Precinct. Only at this time was it confirmed the individuals were POs. POs falsified facts to initiate a malicious prosecution against Plaintiff, and Plaintiff was specifically charged with Disorderly Conduct, Obstruction, and Resisting Arrest. Plaintiff was detained for approximately 25 hours and was fired from her job due to missing work as a result of her unlawful arrest and incarceration. Lt. Ajay Kapur is the officer who approved the arrest. Plaintiff, a resident of New Mexico, was forced to return to court approximately 11 times and endure a 5-day jury trial until she was acquitted on May 16, 2014. Det.
