Police officers from the 81st\nprecinct, including, upon information and belief, defendant NYPD Detective David Paray, and Police Officer Boyle, and NYPD Officers John and Jane Does #1-8, and other yet unknown police officers, committed the following illegal acts against Plaintiff Kayserian. During his incarceration Plaintiff Kayserian was assaulted by an inmate. Defendants failed to protect Plaintiff Kayserian or intervene in these acts of violence committed against him during his time in custody. While plaintiff was incarcerated at the 81st precinct and Central Booking, defendants falsely and maliciously told the New York County District Attorney’s Office that plaintiff had committed the crime of criminal contempt.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=wRqGC5cLQx/gyjrjedccEQ==","type":"complaint"}]},{"name":"Williams, Antwan, et al. vs City of New York, et al.","start_date":"2014-09-18","disposition_date":"2015-10-13","payout_amount":6000,"disposition":"Settlement","docket":"14CV05425","court":"U.S. District Court - Eastern District NY","officer_name":"Paray, David","summary":"On June 19, 2013, defendants Sgt. Lennihan, P.O. Ramayya, P.O. Paray, and other officers broke into plaintiff's apartment in Brooklyn without consent, an arrest warrant, a lawful search warrant, probable cause, or reasonable suspicion that plaintiffs (or any third person) had committed a crime. If there was a search warrant, it was issued on the basis of very unreliable information and its lack of reliability was not shared with the issuing magistrate. Plaintiff's arm was twisted behind her back and placed in excessively tight handcuffs after the officers entered her bedroom. She was handcuffed on the floor and taken into the living room, where she vomited and had to be given water and her inhaler (as she suffers from asthma). Another plaintiff was searched, cuffed, and questioned before being brought to the apartment. Both plaintiffs were placed in the police vehicle while the defendants searched the apartment, ransacking it and damaging plaintiffs' personal property. They found no contraband, weapons, or controlled substances throughout their search. Plaintiffs were driven to the 81st Precinct for arrest and processing, and were released several hours later. Defendants conspired to initiate and falsely and maliciously told the Kings County D.A. that plaintiffs had committed crimes including unlawful possession of marijuana. All of the claims against Plaintiffs were dismissed.","documents":[{"url":"https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nyed.360726.1.0.pdf","type":"complaint"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/4323702/williams-v-city-of-new-york/"},{"name":"Bowers, Kadeem vs City of New York, et al.","start_date":"2014-05-09","disposition_date":"2017-09-20","payout_amount":10000,"disposition":"Settlement","docket":"006866/2014","court":"Supreme Court - Kings","officer_name":"Paray, David"},{"name":"Cox, Leslie vs City of New York, et al.","start_date":"2014-03-31","disposition_date":"2015-01-17","payout_amount":65000,"disposition":"Settlement","docket":"14CV02021","court":"U.S. District Court - Eastern District NY","officer_name":"Paray, David","summary":"On August 26, 2013, plaintiff was walking alone on Glenmore Avenue in Brooklyn, NY, obeying the law when Officer David Paray and a second officer in plainclothes, driving an unmarked car, stopped their car next to plaintiff. One of the officers exited the vehicle with his gun drawn and pointed it at plaintiff. Plaintiff immediately stopped and raised both of his hands in the air. One of the officers stepped in front of plaintiff and struck his nose with the butt of the gun causing plaintiff to fall to the ground, hit his head on the sidewalk, and lose consciousness. When plaintiff regained consciousness, he was handcuffed excessively tight in the back seat of a police vehicle. Plaintiff experienced pain to his head, neck, face, nose, arms and wrists. A defendant Officer took hold of plaintiff's nose, which had been displaced, and twisted it causing plaintiff severe pain. Plaintiff immediately requested medical attention. Defendants refused to transport plaintiff to a hospital. Defendants took plaintiff to a NYPD precinct where they falsely charged\nplaintiff with weapon possession. Defendants refused plaintiff's repeated requests for medical attention. At the precinct, a sergeant and other officers aggressively interrogated Plaintiff for about an hour whether plaintiff had knowledge of gangs, drugs, or guns, and then was taken to Brooklyn Central Booking. While at Central Booking, defendants misrepresented to prosecutors that plaintiff was found in possession of a weapon. On August 27, 2013, Plaintiff was arraigned in Kings County Criminal Court. Bail was set in the amount of$25,000 bond or $15,000 cash. Plaintiff could not post bail and was sent to Riker's Island. Plaintiff was incarcerated for about 4 days before the false charges were dismissed on August 30, 2013. On January 9, 2014, plaintiff underwent surgery to repair a deviated nasal septum, chronic nasal obstruction, and nasal deformity caused by the defendants' conduct.","documents":[{"url":"https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nyed.354476/gov.uscourts.nyed.354476.1.0.pdf","type":"complaint"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/13139078/cox-v-city-of-new-york/"},{"name":"Brown, Leslie vs City of New York, et al.","start_date":"2013-09-04","disposition_date":"2013-11-22","payout_amount":0,"disposition":"Zero Disposition","docket":"13CV04726","court":"U.S. District Court - Eastern District NY","officer_name":"Paray, David","url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/13050018/brown-v-the-city-of-new-york/"},{"officer_name":"Paray, David","disposition":"Settlement","start_date":"2012-08-29","disposition_date":"2013-10-29","court":"U.S. District Court - Eastern District NY","docket":"12CV02410","name":"Holley, Anthony, et Al vs City of New York, et al.","payout_amount":51000,"documents":[{"url":"https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/4927886-Holley-v-City-of-New-York-et-al"},{"url":"https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/4927890-Holley-v-City-of-New-York-et-al"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/6144488/holley-v-city-of-new-york/"},{"name":"Townsend v.
