The officers, including Officers Izzo, Pichardo, and Gambina, told Plaintiffs to turn around and put their hands behind their backs, unlawfully handcuffed Plaintiffs, and then unlawfully searched Plaintiffs. The officers arrested Plaintiffs and transported them to the 60th Precinct, where Plaintiffs were held for 24 hours before arraignment. \n\nThe officers, including Officers Izzo, Pichardo, and Gambina, falsely claimed that they had seen Plaintiffs consuming alcohol in public on August 29, 2015. (Plaintiffs did not possess or consume alcohol in public on August 29, 2015.) The officers made this false claim to one or more prosecutors at the Kings County District Attorney's Office. The officers also falsified other information about the facts and circumstances of the arrests.
