Plaintiff heard sirens and pulled over. PO Danielle Alamrani approached Plaintiff's vehicle and told him that he ran a stop sign. PO Alamrani reviewed Plaintiff's license and registration and told Plaintiff there was a warrant for his arrest. Plaintiff told her this was a mistake and that he had been arrested on October 27, 2011 for the same warrant. When Plaintiff went to court at that time, the judge said there was no warrant. The County Clerk's office also told him there was no warrant in the system. Plaintiff agreed to a settlement with the Comptroller's Office regarding the 2011 false arrest. PO Alamrani nevertheless arrested Plaintiff without checking the Criminal Record Information and Management System (CRIMS). Plaintiff was taken to and processed at the 94th Precinct, where none of the officers checked CRIMS. Plaintiff was then taken to Brooklyn Central Booking. Approximately 14 hours after the initial arrest, a judge confirmed there was no warrant for the arrest, and Plaintiff was released. Plaintiff missed work as a result of the arrest.\n\nOn May 20, 2014, Plaintiff was riding a bike on a road where there was construction. Plaintiff then rode his bike on the sidewalk. PO Trossi ticketed Plaintiff for riding his bike on the sidewalk. PO Trossi told Plaintiff there was a warrant for his arrest. Despite Plaintiff explaining the situation, PO Trossi took Plaintiff into custody and to the 90th Precinct. After a couple of hours, Plaintiff was told there was no warrant and was released. Defendants responded to Plaintiff’s home after receiving a call stating that Beam violated an order of protection on July 4, 2011, and further stating that Beam was inside Plaintiff’s home. Plaintiff and Derrell told the Defendants that Beam was inside their home but that the police could not enter without a warrant. A white male police officer responded by stating, “fuck that,” and tasered Derrell. Some of the taser prongs hit Plaintiff, causing her pain and injury. Defendants then dragged Plaintiff out of her home, slammed Plaintiff into a wall, twisted Plaintiff’s arms, and handcuffed Plaintiff unreasonably tight. Defendants entered and searched Plaintiff’s home and arrested Beam. Defendants did not have a warrant, consent, or exigent circumstances authorizing them to enter and search Plaintiff’s home. Defendants arrested Plaintiff, Derrell, and Beam and brought them to a precinct.\n\nIn the precinct, Defendant Lt. Sean Williams approved the arrest of Plaintiff despite knowing that the arrest was unlawful. While Plaintiff was in the precinct, Defendant Officer Alamrani, with the acquiescence and approval of the other Defendants, falsely alleged in police reports that Plaintiff unlawfully refused to allow Defendants to enter Plaintiff’s home, attempted to prevent Defendants from arresting Derrell, yelled and screamed and threw herself onto the floor, and resisted arrest. Afterward, Officer Alamrani, with the acquiescence and approval of the other Defendants, misrepresented the same information to prosecutors as in the police report above.
