Officer Kim ordered Plaintiff to produce ID and refused to respond to Plaintiff's question why the ID was requested.  After detaining Plaintiff for several minutes, Officer Kim said he needed to see ID to write Plaintiff a summons for \"blocking pedestrian traffic\" to the entrance of the park. Plaintiff said that he was not blocking anyone (no one was there at 12:30am) and Officer Kim ordered Plaintiff to turn around and place his hands behind his back.  As Plaintiff was complying, Officer Doe suddenly grabbed Plaintiff's wrist from behind, causing Plaintiff to move forward.  Officer Kim followed Plaintiff and began striking Plaintiff numerous times on his head and face with a metal baton while Officer Doe struck Plaintiff all about his body, causing extreme pain and injury.  Plaintiff was handcuffed, physically searched, and transported to the 40th Precinct by Officers Kim and Doe.  Upon the order of a higher ranking officer at the precinct, Plaintiff was subsequently transported by members of the NYPD to a hospital where he was treated for his injuries.  Plaintiff was hospitalized overnight, and received staples to close the wounds to his head and two sutures to close the laceration above his right eyebrow.  Plaintiff was eventually transported back to the precinct and then to central booking, where he was arraigned upon a criminal court complaint filed by the Bronx DA charging Plaintiff with attempted assault and harassment in the second degree, upon false allegations levied by Officer Kim and bail was set upon Plaintiff.  Plaintiff experienced extreme pain to his head and body for approximately two weeks and has permanent scarring on his head and over his right eyebrow from Officer Kim's beating.
