The three and some other young men entered the courts and began playing. Shortly, POs arrived and approached the two men with whom Plaintiff was acquainted and took them into custody. PO Poveromo told Plaintiff not to move. Plaintiff complied and was handcuffed and taken to a police vehicle. Plaintiff demanded to know why he was under arrest. PO Poveromo told Plaintiff to be quiet and refused to tell him. PO Hansen approved Plaintiff's arrest and the two POs along with PO Lopez transported him to a precinct. \n\nAt the arraignment, Plaintiff was charged with Robbery and felony assault. PO Poveromo claimed that the victim positively identified Plaintiff, even though Plaintiff never participated in a lineup. PO Poveromo also said that Plaintiff said \"I was there but I'm not talking about what happened\" and submitted the statement to the DA as evidence of Plaintiff's involvement. Plaintiff never said that. \n\nPlaintiff was taken to Riker's Island. Plaintiff is indigent and his bail exceeded what he could pay.
