Defendant Williams directed plaintiff to stop walking because they had a warrant against her. Another defendant officer handcuffed plaintiff. Defendants forced plaintiff into a police van with nine other male officers. While still in handcuffs, plaintiff was transported to the 101st Precinct, where she was searched, photographed, finger printed, and placed in a cell for ten hours with another male prisoner who was being held for violent, domestic abuse charges. Plaintiff was brought into a room by defendant Zappia and interrogated about an alleged assault that occurred on August 4, 2016. Plaintiff had nothing to do with the alleged assault. Plaintiff was never read her Miranda rights, never allowed to make a telephone call, and not permitted to speak to an attorney. Plaintiff was transported to Central Booking, where she was photographed and confined to a cell for ten hours. Plaintiff was released on her own recognizance. Plaintiff made eight court appearances.
