Defendants accused plaintiff of trespass and violently grabbed plaintiff's head and arms. Officers then searched plaintiff despite having no probable cause or reasonable suspicion to justify it. Defendants then twisted plaintiff's arms behind his back and applied handcuffs so tightly they caused bruising and pain. Defendants ignored plaintiff's requests to loosen the handcuffs. Plaintiff was then taken to a precinct, strip searched, processed, and held in custody overnight, being released the next day. Defendant Parkhurst submitted a false criminal complaint to the district attorney's office, which caused plaintiff to be charged with crimes, which charges were eventually dismissed.
