During the course of this seizure, plaintiff was subjected to a search without probable cause or any legal justification, which yielded no contraband.  Nevertheless, he was falsely charged with criminal possession of controlled substances.    As a result of falsified records and statements by the defendant officers, the DA's Office was induced to initiate criminal proceedings against him.  After numerous court appearances, those proceedings were terminated with all charges dropped.\nDuring the arrest, some of the defendant officers failed to intervene and none spoke out against the false evidence being created to justify charging him.
