DAs assigned Plaintiff a Confidential Informant Number to be used instead of his name to protect his identify. Plaintiff advised ADA Theresa Ho he was making progress in arranging the purchase and ADA Ho wished to speak to Plaintiff further. However, when ADA Ho attempted to call Plaintiff from the DA's Office ADA Ho instead negligently or recklessly called the subject of the investigation, who returned the call and learned the call was from the Rackets Bureau of the DA's office. Employees of the DA's Office attempted to remedy their error by calling the subject back and pretending it was a wrong number, and when Plaintiff was informed of ADA Ho's error Plaintiff was assured the error was rectified. On this basis Plaintiff continued his work as a confidential informant. However the subject now suspected Plaintiff was a confidential informant and did not complete the purchase. \n\nThe DA's Office, specifically ADA Caryn Stepmer, became hostile and angry because the investigation was not producing results, and as a result on April 23, 2013 ADA Stepmer intentionally and loudly proclaimed to a courtroom with many members of the public that Plaintiff was a confidential informant. ADA Stepmer said this so loudly it was heard in the hallway outside the courtroom. Other DAs including ADA Stepmer's supervisor told Plaintiff they were not surprised by ADA Stepmer's conduct because she had previously revealed the identities of other confidential informants in court. On May 8, 2013, an individual accused Plaintiff of being a rat and shot him. Plaintiff's attorney immediately called the DA's office. ADA Michael Vecchiom was apparently already aware of the shooting, accused Plaintiff of shooting himself, and advised that Plaintiff would likely be prosecuted. The DA's Office attempted to accumulate evidence that Plaintiff shot himself but were unable to procure enough. \n\nHowever, the DA's Office directed Det. Strumpf to falsely arrest Plaintiff for obstruction of justice, and Det. Strumpf did so on July 22nd or 23rd, 2013. The charge was prosecuted but terminated in Plaintiff's favor on June 11, 2014. Plaintiff and his family are in danger and have been threatened with bodily injury. Plaintiff suffered severe physical, psychological, and emotional trauma as a result of this incident. DA Charles Hynes, ADA Theresa Ho, ADA Joseph A. DiBenedetto, ADA Caryn Stepmner, ADA Michael Vecchiom, ADA Josh Hamshaft, Det. Lynwood Pleasant, Det Stumpf, and POs John Does 1-10 are the named Defendants in this complaint.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=duVkZ_PLUS_HCC0yaWy21chrzcQ==","type":"complaint"}]},{"officer_name":"Pleasant, Lynwood","disposition":"Settlement","start_date":"2012-11-02","disposition_date":"2013-11-25","court":"U.S. District Court - Eastern District NY","docket":"12CV05288","name":"Robinson, Arronious, et Al vs City of New York, et al.","payout_amount":75000,"documents":[{"url":"https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/4919664-Robinson-et-al-v-The-City-Of-New-York-et-al"},{"url":"https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/4919665-Robinson-et-al-v-The-City-Of-New-York-et-al"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/6342576/arronious-robinson-v-the-city-of-new-york/"},{"name":"Johnson v.
