Officers pointed their guns at plaintiff Edjar Joel Suren, who was 17, arrested him and placed him in handcuffs. Officers then grabbed plaintiff Lucia Santigao, 65, off her bed and handcuffed her. Officers then grabbed plaintiff Ismael Suren, Jr. and handcuffed him as well. Officers asked where the \"guns and drugs\" were, which plaintiffs denied having. They then asked where Nelson Santiago was, and plaintiff Lucia stated he did not live with her. Officers had her call Nelson and he came to the house, where plaintiff Nelson was then arrested and searched. Family members Edgardo Suren and Ismaal Joel Suren went to the residence and they too were arrested and asked about guns and drugs. \nOfficers searched the entire apartment without a warrant. Officers found a vial which contained Ismael Suren Jr's father's ashes but officers accused the plaintiffs of having heroin. plaintiffs were then all taken to the precinct, where they were detained for many hours. All charges against plaintiffs were ultimately dismissed. On May 30, 2015 NYPD officers, including Defendants Sophia Carson, Paul Ortiz, and John and Jane Doe officers, entered the social club and Plaintiffs Martha Salter, Arlene Murray, and Sonia Winley were present in the club at that time.  One of the Defendant Officer's searched Plaintiff Arlene Murray's bag and then another officer subjected her to a strip search.  Then plaintiffs Martha Salter, Arlene Murray, and Sonia Winley were arrested without probable cause they had committed any offense. Plaintiff Martha Salter received a Desk Appearance Ticket charging her with criminal possession of a controlled substance, which she had not done, and the Kings County District Attorney's Office declined to prosecute the case against her. Later on October 2, 2015, NYPD officers, including Defendants Thomas Mannion, Michael Weber, and John and Jane Doe officers who were members of the \"79 Field Team,\" entered the social club and Plaintiffs Ronald Cotton, Johnnie McBride, Arlene Murray, and Sonia Winley\nwere present inside.  One of the defendant officer's assaulted Plaintiff Ronald Cotton, another defendant officer assaulted Plaintiff Johnnie McBride. Plaintiff Arlene Murray, who was almost seventy years old, was also hit by a defendant officer with a shield knocking her to the ground and then handcuffed and interrogated in the club and her person and bag were illegally searched. Defendant Sgt. Michael Weber authorized, and one of the defendant officers conducted an illegal strip search of Plaintiff Sonia Winley. Plaintiffs Ronald Cotton, Johnnie McBride, Arlene Murray, and Sonia Winley were arrested. Defendant Thomas Mannion was the assigned arresting officer and he provided false information to the Kings County District Attorney's Office, causing baseless but serious charges to be brought against the Plaintiffs. Upon the Plaintiffs release from custody following the October 2 incident, Plaintiffs Ronald Cotton, Johnnie McBride, and Arlene Murray sought medical treatment for injuries sustained during their arrest.
