Defendants recovered no contraband from plaintiff after the illegal search. Defendant used excessive force, assaulted and applied excessively tight handcuffs which caused injuries to plaintiff's wrists. Then after, the plaintiff was transported to the precinct. Defendants falsely claimed that they observed the plaintiff commit various crimes to the district attorney's office to justify the unlawful arrest. From the precinct, plaintiff was transported to central booking and was subsequently arraigned. Plaintiff remained in custody for an extended period of time prior to arraignment. The case was eventually dismissed. Plaintiff suffered damage because of defendants’ actions. A similar incident occurred on August 27, 2022, around 10:49 pm at Furman Street and Joralemon Street, NY when plaintiff, was unlawfully searched, falsely arrested, and subjected to excessive force by police officers, including PO Anthony Gannon. Plaintiff was walking on her way to a public transportation when she was attacked, assaulted and stabbed by unknown individuals. Upon arriving at the scene of the incident, the defendants officers, including Anthony, removed Plaintiff's assailants away, and transported the plaintiff to a hospital for treatment of the injuries. Despite being the victim, Defendants unlawfully searched plaintiff, however they did not obtain any contrabands. Despite being the clear victim, the plaintiff was excessively tightly handcuffed, detained, and falsely accused of crimes. The defendants then forwarded false allegations to the DA's office to justify the unlawful arrest. Plaintiff was taken to the precinct and then later transported to central booking and was subsequently arraigned. Plaintiff remained in custody for extended time including at Rikers Island. The plaintiff’s case was dismissed on September 2, 2022, and December 6, 2022.
