Plaintiff exited the vehicle and was handcuffed while he and the vehicle were searched. No contraband was found on the Plaintiff or in the vehicle. Plaintiff was hit in the face when he asked why he was stopped. Plaintiff was tripped to the ground and dragged by his ankles along the concrete and maced in his eyes and face. Plaintiff was again struck in the face. Plaintiff was later taken to a precinct and charged with numerous false charges. At the precinct, Officers of the Internal Affairs Bureau interviewed Plaintiff about defendant's conduct. The next day, Plaintiff was arraigned at Kings County Criminal Court, then released. A few days later, officers from IAB visited Plaintiff's house and again interviewed Plaintiff about the defendant officers' conduct. A Grand Jury believed officer's false testimony and indicted Plaintiff on false charges. Plaintiff remained out while the case was pending until 2013.\nOn May 1, 2013, Plaintiff was lawfully on the sidewalk in Brooklyn, NY, when officers Tobin, Gonzalez and Pereira stopped, detained and searched Plaintiff without reasonable suspicion. Plaintiff was struck with officers' fist and handheld radios, for speaking to IAB about the 2011 incident. Plaintiff was tripped to the ground and kicked in the head and eye. Plaintiff was taken to the Precinct where he was imprisoned on numerous charges. Plaintiff was arraigned the next day, and officers gave false testimony to a Grand Jury who indicted Plaintiff on several charges. Plaintiff pled guilty to a couple of the charges because the plea deal was a better option than going to trial. Officers included Officers Benigno Gonzalez, Brett Healy, James Wilson, and Thomas Jurewicz. They were looking for a badge that an officer had lost earlier that afternoon in the arrest of an unrelated party. Officers pushed Plaintiff Beauford when they entered and dragged Plaintiff Simmons into the hallway. They told Plaintiff Lawyer that an officer lost the badge and demanded he return it. Plaintiff Lawyer told Officers that he didn't have it but was searched anyway. When they left, Plaintiff Lawyer called an ambulance for Plaintiff Simmons who had been injured due to the officers' use of excessive force, and was treated at a medical center. Later, the officers returned to the residence and arrested Plaintiff Simmons and Plaintiff Beauford without cause, transported them to the police station, and then transported them to central booking. [At a time not specified by the complaint,] Plaintiff Beauford was led out the \"back door\" while Plaintiff Simmons was released at arraignment.\n\nOfficers told Plaintiff Lawyer that if he turned himself in, they would release Simmons and Beauford. His name and picture were broadcast extensively on TV and in newspapers as a suspect in the badge theft. On June 24, 2013, Plaintiff Lawyer turned himself although he did not commit any crimes. On or about June 28, 2013, he testified in the Kings County Grand Jury and all charges against him were dismissed.","documents":[{"url":"https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nyed.350284.8.0.pdf","type":"complaint"},{"url":"https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/4923354-Beauford-et-al-v-City-of-New-York-et-al"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/4323057/beauford-v-city-of-new-york/"},{"officer_name":"Gonzalez, Benigno","disposition":"Order/Judgment (Verdict)","start_date":"2012-11-29","disposition_date":"2018-03-13","court":"U.S. District Court - Southern District NY","docket":"12CV08691","name":"Hill, Carol as Adm. of Hill, Tyjuan (deceased) vs Sgt.
