One officer came out of the car and grabbed the plaintiff by the throat then slammed him into a nearby gate. Other officers beat the plaintiff up and tasered him. The plaintiff was unconscious and woke up in hospital. The plaintiff was arrested for assault, resisting arrest, consumption of alcohol in a public place and possession of marijuana despite not doing any of these things.
