Plaintiff Reyes was filming to document the process. After entering the lobby Plaintiff encountered a PO who repeatedly told Plaintiff he could not film in the precinct. The PO then spoke to POs Johnathan Ortega, Franklyn Guaman, Oscar Mancilla, or Nicholas Sommella, who shortly confronted and physically grabbed Plaintiff to push him out of the precinct. On the public sidewalk PO Ortega and PO Mancill pushed and shoved Plaintiff about the torso. Plaintiff Reyes then re-entered and was promptly handcuffed. POs also confiscated Plaintiff's camera, microphone, and other property. Plaintiff Scalzo then entered the precinct while filming but PO Ortega walked toward Plaintiff Scalzo menacingly and forced Plaintiff Scalzo outside, shutting the door on Plaintiff Scalzo's wrist in the process. POs Ortega and Guaman then sought a protective order against Plaintiff Reyes in an attempt to disqualify him for a desk appearance ticket. Though the order was not granted, POs commenced a malicious prosecution against Plaintiff Reyes, which compelled him to return to court multiple times until all charges were dismissed. Defendants conducted an illegal search of plaintiff’s person by searching through her pockets and patting her down all over in the open view of other people. Defendants grabbed plaintiff while she was rear-handcuffed, shoved her into a police vehicle and transported her against her will to a local NYPD Precinct. Plaintiff was fingerprinted, photographed, searched, retina-scanned, and placed in a disgusting cell. Plaintiff sustained significant injuries and was transported to Brookdale Hospital. Plaintiff was brought back to the precinct before being transported to Central Booking. Officer John Doe No. 1 refused to help plaintiff cover her naked body after it fell in front of the onlookers. After an hour of public exposure, Officer Jane Doe No. 1 allowed Plaintiff to get dressed During the six hours of unlawful detention, Defendant Officers searched Plaintiff's apartment without a legally-issued warrant or consent and then released Plaintiff and left her apartment. Other Defendant Officers, who were present during the incident but did not participate in the unlawful conduct, have failed to intervene.
