At approximately 9:00 p.m. POs Chowdhury and John Does unlawfully stopped, frisked, interrogated, and falsely accused Plaintiffs of driving a stolen vehicle. Plaintiffs explained it was their car, properly insured and registered, and provided proof but POs failed or chose not to conduct an adequate investigation. POs used force and abusive language to remove, search, and handcuff Plaintiffs. Plaintiffs were falsely arrested and taken to the 32nd Precinct. POs allowed and caused Plaintiffs to be verbally, physically, and emotionally abused, intimidated, humiliated, embarrassed, and defamed during their time in unlawful custody. Plaintiffs were denied access to legal counsel and were never provided or read their Miranda rights, and their repeated attempts to provide evidence they had not committed a crime were ignored. After several hours Plaintiffs were released but POs impounded their car without legal justification and wrongfully withheld it from Plaintiffs for several weeks. Plaintiffs suffered and suffer multiple bodily injuries, pain, distress, post traumatic stress disorder, emotional and psychological injury, great indignity, embarrassment, humiliation, damage to reputation and character, and deprivation of their Constitutional rights as a result of this incident.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=unO4MUqsZSDrvg8TwLX09A==","type":"complaint"}]}],"payroll":{"salary":"141943","regular":"136940","overtime":"12064","other":"22475","total":"171479"},"id":"GTWD","url":"https://www.50-a.org/officer/GTWD"}
