POs thereafter forcibly detained Plaintiff supposedly for a purported crime victim to confirm whether Plaintiff was the perpetrator of said crime. Plaintiff was later told by officers he was not identified as the perpetrator of the crime and that he was free to leave. \n\nAfter leaving the scene Plaintiff returned, whereupon POs tried to question him but Plaintiff refused and requested their badge numbers. In reaction, POs forcibly seized Plaintiff, placed him in handcuff, arrested him, and unlawfully brought him to a police precinct then Central Booking. PO Cruz knowingly and falsely stated to the District Attorney Plaintiff was in possession of a gravity knife, causing a malicious prosecution. After multiple court appearances, Plaintiff's criminal case is scheduled to be dismissed on April 16, 2018.
