Defendants ordered plaintiff to roll down the windows of his vehicle and asked plaintiff for his driving license and vehicle registration. Defendants radioed for backup and ordered plaintiff to get out of his car. Six more unnamed police officers arrived on the scene. Defendants, including Iqbal and Melhado, searched Plaintiff's vehicle without consent, warrant, or probable cause. During the search, defendants, including Iqbal and Melhado bent plaintiff's hands very hard while handcuffing him, ignoring plaintiff's complaints that the cuffs were too tight. Defendants did not say why plaintiff was being arrested.\n\nPlaintiff was transported to the 23rd Precinct, where he was searched without justification. Defendants Iqbal and Melhado removed plaintiff's pants and touched him all over his body without consent, including his genitals and buttocks. Plaintiff was told that he had been arrested because the police had found a razor in his car. The razor was a legal tool used for cutting hair, and was packaged with similar haircutting tools. Plaintiff was transported to Central Booking, arraigned, and released on April 22, 2018. Defendants Iqbal and Melhado falsely alleged and attested to prosecutors that plaintiff was observed committing crimes.
