Plaintiff was immediately handcuffed and placed under arrest without question and was told that there was a warrant out for his arrest. Upon arriving at a Special Victims Precinct on Flatbush Avenue, Plaintiff was told that there was an I-Card out for him in relation to a CCTV surveillance video from New York City Transit Bus B-46, which allegedly showed him in the act of sexually molesting a minor. Plaintiff denied this allegation to no avail. Review of the surveillance video in question, prior to Plaintiff's arrest, proved that no such incident had occurred. Plaintiff was arraigned before a judge on the morning following his arrest and was detained at Brooklyn Detention Center and later Riker's Island, where officers and inmates assaulted him because of the nature of the crimes he was being charged with. Plaintiff was further harmed by images printed and published by the NYPD detailing his alleged involvement in a sexual abuse of a minor case, including those posted at the lobby of his building. Plaintiff alleges that he appeared in court over 20 times before the charges against him were dismissed following a motion to dismiss filed by his criminal attorney.","documents":[{"url":"https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nyed.480169/gov.uscourts.nyed.480169.1.0.pdf","type":"complaint"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/63324152/sacaza-v-city-of-new-york/"},{"name":"Ferenczi, Coleen vs City of New York, et al.","start_date":"2018-08-13","disposition_date":"2020-07-29","payout_amount":31000,"disposition":"Settlement","docket":"18CV03352","court":"U.S. District Court - Eastern District NY","officer_name":"Friedman, Michael","summary":"Plaintiff was present at her home when NYPD officers, without probable cause, entered her residence and unlawfully detained, arrested, imprisoned, handcuffed, frisked and physically searched her.
