Longardino approached Plaintiffs' vehicle on the driver's side and Anderson, with his service weapon drawn, approached on the passenger side and ordered Monroe to exit the vehicle. Plaintiffs were asked if they had drugs in the car or on their persons, and Monroe said he had prescription drugs in his pocket. The drugs were removed from the pocket and Monroe was patted down. Monroe's back brace was removed and Monroe fell on the ground, aggravating his back injury. Plaintiffs were handcuffed and transported to the 104th precinct then Central Booking. Plaintiffs spent twenty four hours in custody, accused of felony drug possession charges, during which time no medical assistance was offered to Monroe. Sadhoff's criminal case was dismissed by the Queens County DA in August 2010.
