Everyone in the car was searched and fraudulent bank cards and checks were allegedly found. The defendants determined that the plaintiff was in the rear passenger seat and had no ties to the owners of the car but still searched and questioned her about drugs and contraband. Everyone was arrested and taken to the 81st precinct where the plaintiff and another woman passenger were paraded around the precinct while the women were catcalled and called prostitutes within earshot. The women were then strip searched (despite lack of consent) while the catcalling continued. Plaintiff was forced to squat, bend over, and expose her private parts from the waist down while the precinct's cameras were aimed right at her and the defendants were laughing at her. Plaintiff was let out a side door at Brooklyn Central Booking; no arrest was processed nor were charges filed. When she went to retrieve her property, some of her items taken from her before the strip search were missing.","documents":[{"url":"https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/4922196-Harris-v-The-City-of-New-York-et-al"},{"url":"https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nyed.381445/gov.uscourts.nyed.381445.1.0_1.pdf","type":"complaint"},{"url":"https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/4922197-Harris-v-The-City-of-New-York-et-al"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/4325323/harris-v-the-city-of-new-york/"},{"name":"Nauhn, James Sr. vs City of New York, et al.","start_date":"2015-10-23","disposition_date":"2018-07-27","payout_amount":250000,"disposition":"Settlement","docket":"15CV06057","court":"U.S. District Court - Eastern District NY","officer_name":"Gebbia, James A.","summary":"Plaintiff opened the door because he heard noises outside when he was pepper sprayed in the face and officers entered the residence without a warrant. 2 of the Plaintiffs were grabbed, assaulted, and arrested. Plaintiff was handcuffed on the ground and was lying prone and compliant, when a defendant officer approached and struck him in the head with a hard metal object. Defendant officers then viciously beat Plaintiff, especially about the face. A crowd of people witnessed the assault, including the proprietor of a salon in the immediate vicinity. Following the assault, Plaintiff was bleeding from his head and face. Defendants did not call an ambulance for Plaintiff and left him to bleed in the back of a police vehicle that was driven to the 81st Precinct. At the precinct, defendants continued to refuse Plaintiff medical care. Plaintiff, bloody, in extreme pain and discomfort and in urgent need of medical attention, was placed in a cell. When an ambulance arrived about two hours later, PO Louis forced Plaintiff to travel to the Woodhall hospital without his shoes or shirt. At the hospital, while Plaintiff was handcuffed, medical staff used four staples to close his head injury and seven stitches to close a deep laceration over his right eyebrow. Plaintiff later returned to the hospital for removal of the staples and stitches.","documents":[{"url":"https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nyed.358874.1.0.pdf","type":"complaint"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/4323541/bryant-v-gebbia/"},{"name":"McPherson v.
