In the first incident on November 3, 2020, the plaintiff was arrested without cause after briefly stopping to see a friend. The officers demanded his driver's license, accused him of parking in a no-standing zone, and then escalated the situation by forcibly removing him from his vehicle, conducting a warrantless search, and physically assaulting him. Despite no contraband being found, the plaintiff was detained, strip-searched, and falsely charged with various crimes, which were later dismissed in court.\n\nIn the second incident on January 24, 2021, a similar pattern occurred. The plaintiff was approached by officers while waiting to pick up a friend, forcibly removed from his vehicle, assaulted, subjected to intrusive searches, and falsely charged with crimes. As with the first incident, no contraband was found, and the charges were later dismissed.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=tJ82gYK0qvhr5EdB_PLUS_gheMw==","type":"complaint"}]},{"name":"Belgrove, Michael D. vs City of Ny, et al.","start_date":"2023-11-21","payout_amount":0,"disposition":"","docket":"531060/2023","court":"Supreme Court - Kings","summary":"On November 23, 2022, plaintiff was lawfully inside his vehicle parked at or near the premises located at 579 Albany Avenue in Kings County.
