Plaintiff was then taken to the precinct where he was accused in an interrogation by Detective Edwin Santiago of having taken part in a shooting in Brooklyn. Plaintiff was able to provide an alibi and evidence that he was in a different city on the day of the shooting, but Detective Santiago ignored this evidence, and provided incomplete and misleading information to the DA's office.
