When Plaintiff walked away, PO Stojkovic aggressively yelled at Plaintiff. PO Doe 1 advised Plaintiff that if he was not engaged in unlawful conduct, he was free to leave, so Plaintiff did—resulting in PO Stojkovic grabbing and yanking Plaintiff's left arm. Plaintiff inquired as to the reason for this illegal seizure when PO Stojkovic, without provocation, punched Plaintiff in the face, splitting Plaintiff's lip and causing him to lose a tooth. Plaintiff then used his shirt to stem the bleeding before PO Stojkovic grabbed Plaintiff and slammed him to the ground. The POs then applied excessively tight metal handcuffs to Plaintiff's wrists behind his back, pressed him against the side of a vehicle, and then slammed him into the ground again before further punching and kicking him.\n\nThe POs then accused Plaintiff of a crime and put him into the police car for transport to the precinct. On the way to the precinct, when Plaintiff stuck his head out the window for fresh air, PO Stojkovic used the front-seat window controls to close the window on Plaintiff's neck. After Plaintiff was processed at the precinct and illegally detained for eight hours, the POs caused him to be charged with Disorderly Conduct despite knowing the allegations were fabricated. The prosecution was dismissed on August 25, 2020.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=SrUgLJyv2z1VeN/yjW3d8w==","type":"complaint"}]},{"name":"Komatsu, Towaki vs City of Ny, et al.","start_date":"2021-04-20","disposition_date":"2022-06-17","payout_amount":0,"disposition":"Zero Disposition","docket":"20CV10942","court":"U.S. District Court - Southern District NY","documents":[{"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.551273/gov.uscourts.nysd.551273.151.0.pdf","type":"complaint"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/26076099/komatsu-v-the-city-of-new-york/"},{"name":"Velasquez, Angel vs City of New York, et al.","start_date":"2020-07-30","payout_amount":0,"disposition":"","docket":"028145/2020E","court":"Supreme Court - Bronx","officer_name":"Amill, Frank","summary":"On September 21, 2019, at 10:46 p.m. inside 941 Intervale Avenue in Bronx County, defendants, including Officer Darien Ydelfonso and Lieutenant Amill Frank, unlawfully arrested, restrained, assaulted, battered, imprisoned, humiliated and maliciously prosecuted plaintiff under false charges, without just cause or provocation.
