Plaintiff Cheeks was asleep on the living room couch and awoke to Defendants and other plainclothes officers breaking down and storming through her front door, pointing their weapons, pulling her from the couch to a chair, and handcuffing her. Plaintiffs Lexicia Cheeks and Jon Gunter awoke to find Defendants and other police officers pointing weapons at them and yelling for them to get out of bed. Each was then handcuffed and brought into the living room. Officers told Plaintiffs they entered pursuant to a search warrant, but no warrant was shown to Plaintiffs despite repeated requests. Officers ransacked the apartment and brought a drug dog into the apartment, which did not detect any drugs. Officers then removed the handcuffs and left the location.
