She was going home with the taxi and when she tried paying upon arrival her credit card did not function. She suggested going home and taking money to pay, but the taxi driver got angry and called the police. She explained to police officer Jason Katigbak and another unidentified police officer that she can retrieve cash from her apartment, and then turned around to start walking to her apartment, when one of the officers jumped on her and tackled her to the ground. Her face struck the concrete while the police officer grabbed her by the hair and shouted \"shut up\", before smashing her face and chin into the ground. This all caused the plaintiff significant physical injury, pain, and suffering. Eventually, she was charged with Theft of Services, while the police officers presented a false story for the purposes of the criminal complaint. Plaintiff spent around 12 hours in detention before being released from custody.","documents":[{"url":"https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.417686.1.0.pdf","type":"complaint"},{"url":"https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/4923575-Jorfald-v-The-City-of-New-York-et-al"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/4576739/jorfald-v-the-city-of-new-york/"},{"officer_name":"Katigbak, Jason V.","disposition":"Settlement","start_date":"2009-04-24","disposition_date":"2014-01-06","court":"Supreme Court - New York","docket":"104657/2009","name":"Saha, Pabitra vs City of New York, et al.","payout_amount":50000}],"image":"https://www.50-a.org/images/officer/KLCP-jason-katigbak.jpg","id":"KLCP","url":"https://www.50-a.org/officer/KLCP"}
