Officer Brodie complained to Plaintiff about having to pay child support. While making his complaint to Sgt. Ortiz, Officer Brodie identified himself as an NYPD officer. \n\nOn June 12, 2013, NYPD officers—Sgt. Chai, Sgt. Ortiz, and PO Charles—arrived at Plaintiff’s home where she was alone with her child. Plaintiff was taken to the precinct, where she was told she was under arrest. It is Plaintiff’s belief that she would not have been arrested if Officer Brodie was not a member of the NYPD. Plaintiff presented printed copies of the emails to the officers. Upon review of the emails, the officers released Plaintiff and told her she was no longer under arrest.
