When Oliver asked defendants why they were stopped, they rudely informed her that she did not know the law, and issued her a summons for disorderly conduct. Defendants also gave Thompson a summons for child support, despite his assertion that he could not owe any child support. When plaintiffs threatened to file a complaint, defendants used racial slurs toward plaintiffs.
