PO Michael Vasquez, PO Pierre Senat, and PO Francesco Monastra were in an unmarked police vehicle pursuing an individual in an ATV when their negligence caused the ATV to collide with Plaintiff's vehicle. Plaintiff lawfully filmed the scene and did not interfere with police activity. Regardless, POs attempted to stop Plaintiff from filming. When Plaintiff refused unlawful orders to leave PO Vazquez ordered Plaintiff to put his hands behind his back for \"standing in the street\" and suddenly violently propelled Plaintiff's head, neck, and upper body into the street in a \"suplex\" move. PO Vasquez then sat on Plaintiff while beating him together with PO Senat. PO Vasquez intentionally deactivated his body-worn camera when he began the assault. Sgt. Tatiana Cruz and Sgt. Louis Guglielmo arrived and approved of Plaintiff's false arrest. POs drove Plaintiff's car to the precinct to conduct an illegal search. Plaintiff was also taken into custody and was in and out of consciousness due to his head injuries. Plaintiff was maliciously prosecuted but the District Attorney declined to pursue the charges and Plaintiff was released without being arraigned. Plaintiff suffered physical injury, pain, deprivation of rights, and other damages as a result of this incident.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=Pq9Iu9pUDU5JT1J76p2eRw==","type":"complaint"}]},{"name":"Carter, Donell vs City of Ny, et al.","start_date":"2023-10-19","payout_amount":0,"disposition":"","docket":"816210/2023E","court":"Supreme Court - Bronx","summary":"On July 19, 2022, at approximately 10:30 p.m. plaintiff was lawfully present in the vicinity of the intersection of Hunts Point Avenue and Oak Point Avenue in the Bronx, New York, driving from a memorial for a deceased friend. Defendants violently pulled plaintiff from his vehicle, threw him to the ground face first, causing plaintiff to bleed and sustain injuries including injuries to his neck, back and shoulders, as well as a broken toe. PO Louis Guglielmo, Sandor Burgos and others had no probable cause or reasonable suspicion that the plaintiff was engaged in an illegal activity. Despite the absence of any evidence of wrongdoing by the plaintiff, the defendants applied excessively tight handcuffs, formally arrested the plaintiff and transported him to a local precinct. P.O. Guglielmo and others ignored Plaintiff medical attention. While Plaintiff was in custody at the precinct, defendant officers prepared and files false paperwork falsely charging Plaintiff with disorderly conduct and driving on the sidewalk. All criminal charges were dismissed and sealed. As a result, after his release from custody, plaintiff had to seek medical treatment for the physical injuries he sustained due to the defendants’ assault towards him.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=3XmDecftYUSiY9cInjVKDQ==","type":"complaint"}]},{"name":"Sakamoto, Rafael vs Guglielmo, Louis, et al.","start_date":"2020-02-05","payout_amount":0,"disposition":"","docket":"151069/2020","court":"Supreme Court - New York","officer_name":"Guglielmo, Louis","summary":"On December 6, 2018, Louis Guglielmo, a member of the New York City Police Department, struck the plaintiff with his vehicle while in an impaired state and unfit to operate a motor vehicle.
