The officers illegally searched Plaintiff Figueroa, and then performed a public strip search of his lower body in front of witnesses.  Plaintiff Staley then arrived and was instructed to open his trunk, which he did, revealing no contraband.  While Staley objected to the intrusion, he was thrown to the ground and physically struck on the head and body.  Plaintiff Liburd, seeing this, asked why the Officers were abusing the others, and was maced in the face.\n\nPlaintiffs Figueroa and Staley were placed under arrest and transported to Precinct 26.  There officers falsely stated that they have been observed committing crimes and again strip searched.  Plaintiff Figueroa received a desk ticket and all charges against him were later dismissed.  Plaintiff Staley was held in custody for 24 hours and then released, with all charges dismissed at a later date.
