While this was happening, both plaintiff and his brother repeatedly told both officers that plaintiff had medical issues, but the officers ignored them. PO John Doe 1 joined in and help PO Trabolse by grabbing of the wrists and pinning it down while Trabolse pinned the other. PO Trabolse then aimed a taser gun at plaintiff's head multiple times however did not discharge the weapon at that time. During these events roughly seven more NYPD officers arrived and watched as PO Trabolse aggressively threw plaintiff around, rear handcuff him, punch in the back and the side multiple times, and tase him in the back and side an undetermined amount of times, which all culminated in plaintiff briefly losing consciousness. Defendant officers did not provide any medical attention despite seeing visible signs of medical distress and discharging a taser multiple times, instead, plainitff was transported to the 121st precinct and placed in a holding cell. Plaintiff begin experiencing symptoms so of dangerousy high blood sugar and was taken to the hospital in shackles, where plainitff was diagnoised with diabetic ketoacidosis and admitted to the medical intensive care unit and remained shackled to the bed for the duration of his visit. Plaintiff was medically cleared to leave on October 1, 2018, however, he remained in custody and shackled to the bed until October 2, 2018, so plaintiff spent a total of five days in police custody until he was finally arraigned virtually on charges of resisting arresting and obstructing governmental administration.
