She made a right turn onto East 96th Street and stopped for traffic. While she was stopped, Defendant Officer Chunkyu Yun approached Plaintiff's vehicle, asked her to roll down her window, and told her that she was not permitted to make a right-hand turn at that time in the day. Officer Yun then told Plaintiff to move her vehicle. Plaintiff continued towards the entrance to FDR Drive, and again stopped due to traffic. Officer Yun again approached Plaintiff's vehicle, banged the car with a hard object, berated Plaintiff for not pulling over, and demanded that she get out of the car. Plaintiff began to comply, but Officer Yun forcefully grabbed Plaintiff, leading her to the curb, before suddenly throwing Plaintiff to the ground, knocking out a tooth. With his knee on Plaintiff's back, Officer Yun handcuffed Plaintiff before striking her face on the ground several more times, fracturing her jaw and knocking out more teeth. Other Defendant Officers arrived, but they mocked Plaintiff and did not intervene. Plaintiff was subsequently falsely arrested and charged with various crimes, including Obstruction of Government Administration and Resisting Arrest. Defendant Officers provided false information to the District Attorney to support these false charges. Plaintiff was brought to a hospital to treat her injuries before being brought to jail.
