Before the plaintiff's car could cross the intersection, an unmarked van without lights or sirens rammed into the driver's side, causing a crash that deployed the airbags, shattered the windshield, and totaled the car. A police officer exited the van, approached the plaintiff, and asked if he had been drinking, to which he replied he had not. The plaintiff got out, called the police, and began recording the scene. When other officers arrived, they sided with their fellow officer. No sobriety or breathalyzer tests were performed. The plaintiff was arrested and taken to Interfaith Medical Center for treatment but was denied pain medication until a blood sample for alcohol testing was collected. A nurse informed officers there was no evidence of alcohol in his urine. The plaintiff was then taken to the 77th precinct, where he was unlawfully searched and detained, and the next day he was transported to Kings Central Bookings. The defendants fabricated evidence and falsely accused the plaintiff of driving while intoxicated. He was detained for 48 hours until his arraignment and release on his own recognizance. All charges were dismissed on March 16, 2021. Defendants who were present but not physically involved failed to intervene.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=td_PLUS_oq5KC2nVaPGgw9jMaIg==","type":"complaint"}]}],"discipline":[{"disposition_date":"2024-01-15","case_no":"2023-29118","penalty":"B - Command Discipline","recommendation":"Command Discipline - B","allegations":[{"desc":"Wrongfully used physical force."}]}],"image":"https://www.50-a.org/images/officer/LLM7-shoeb-siddiqui.jpg","payroll":{"salary":"109352","regular":"73195","overtime":"26675","other":"13715","total":"113585"},"id":"LLM7","url":"https://www.50-a.org/officer/LLM7"}
