The Plaintiff began to run. Defendant NYPD Officers Christopher Lopez and Steven Lopez tackled the Plaintiff, handcuffed him, beat him, and pistol whipped him on his head. The Plaintiff did not match the description of who they were looking for. The Defendants generated a fictitious felony complaint against the Plaintiff and claimed that a gun they recovered near by belonged to the Plaintiff, though they never dusted for prints or conducted DNA testing. The Defendants testified dishonestly about seeing the Plaintiff commit a crime. As a result, the Plaintiff was convicted after a jury trial.","documents":[{"url":"https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.576752/gov.uscourts.nysd.576752.60.0.pdf","type":"complaint"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/63165771/rouse-v-the-city-of-new-york/"},{"name":"Hernandez, Ramon vs City of Ny, et al.","start_date":"2021-02-17","disposition_date":"2022-06-07","payout_amount":0,"disposition":"Zero Disposition","docket":"21CV02397","court":"U.S. District Court - Southern District NY","summary":"On February 5, 2015, at approximately 3:15 AM, Plaintiff Ramon Hernandez was walking near Burnside and Andrews Avenues in the Bronx when Officers McGrisken, Oktrova, S. Lopez, Barnett, Gonzalez, Delio, Collins, To, M. Lopez, and C. Lopez ordered Plaintiff to stop moving as they approached him. Defendant Officers McGrisken, Oktrova, S. Lopez, Barnett, Gonzalez, Delio, Collins, To, M. Lopez, and C. Lopez then placed Plaintiff under arrest, without explanation, by violently grabbing and contorting plaintiff's arms behind his back to apply metal handcuffs with excessive force. Officers McGrisken, Oktrova, S. Lopez, Barnett, Gonzalez, Delio, Collins, To, M. Lopez, and C. Lopez took Plaintiff to the NYPD 46th Precinct where he was fingerprinted, photographed, and strip-searched, despite probable cause to make any arrest. Defendants Officers McGrisken, Oktrova, S. Lopez, Barnett, Gonzalez, Delio, Collins, To, M. Lopez, and C. Lopez initiated a criminal prosecution against Plaintiff for the robbery of Jose Ordonez, without probable cause and by arranging and conducting a tainted corporeal identification procedure, fabricating evidence, including the circumstances of Plaintiff's arrest, and suppressing exculpatory evidence, including the failure of the victim to positively identify Plaintiff. Defendants Officers McGrisken, Oktrova, S. Lopez, Barnett, Gonzalez, Delio, Collins, To, M. Lopez, and C.
