The defendant officers unlawfully entered the plaintiff's family residence and falsely claimed that the plaintiff had committed crimes or offenses despite recovering no contraband from the plaintiff's person or the apartment. Those defendants who were present but did not actively participate in the unlawful conduct failed to intervene. After the arrest, the plaintiff was transported to the police precinct and then to Brooklyn Central Booking, where he was subsequently arraigned. The plaintiff was released after spending an extended period in custody. All charges against the plaintiff were dismissed in his favor. As a result, the plaintiff suffered damages.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=dLbJq1z5x6RAY4UUfM43HA==","type":"complaint"}]},{"name":"Morrison, Windsor vs City of New York, et al.","start_date":"2014-07-28","payout_amount":0,"disposition":"Settlement","docket":"14CV04508","court":"U.S. District Court - Eastern District NY","officer_name":"Morales, Peter","summary":"On May 25, 2013 Plaintiff was unlawfully stopped by NYPD Officers Morales and Morris while he was lawfully driving a car. Officers Morales and Morris handcuffed and brought Plaintiff to the 75th Precinct Stationhouse, where Officer Morales prepared (with Officer Morris' permission) false police reports accusing Plaintiff of operating an unlicensed vehicle for hour. Officer Morales prepared (with Officer Morris' permission) two summons charging Plaintiff with operating an unlicensed vehicle for hire. Both officers caused and allowed false statements to be made to the District Attorney's Offices and to the Criminal Court. This caused Mr. Morrison to be prosecuted in Kings County. Officer Morales refused to release Plaintiff from the precinct under the false claim that Plaintiff was wanted on a 2007 bench/arrest warrant. Plaintiff was injured when NYPD attempted to transport him and ten other inmates to Brooklyn Central Booking while being handcuffed together in a \"daisy chain\" and being forced through the front passenger doorway of the van. Eventually, all charges against plaintiff were dismissed and sealed.","documents":[{"url":"https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nyed.359131/gov.uscourts.nyed.359131.12.0.pdf","type":"complaint"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/4577054/morrison-v-the-city-of-new-york/"},{"officer_name":"Morales, Peter","disposition":"Settlement","start_date":"2011-09-28","disposition_date":"2013-04-28","court":"U.S. District Court - Eastern District NY","docket":"11CV04427","name":"Pablo, Sanchez vs City of New York, et al.","payout_amount":42500,"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/12956827/sanchez-v-city-of-new-york/"}],"documents":[{"url":"https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/21026699-morales-b1ad5678f8311ea68f4027aa15a51f68d170193a","type":"brady-giglio","lawsuits":["04CV8025","99CV8589"]}],"id":"LQ4F","url":"https://www.50-a.org/officer/LQ4F"}
