The officers then ran a check on Phillips and falsely claimed he had an outstanding warrant, which was actually issued for someone else. Despite informing the officers that he was a dialysis patient, Phillips was handcuffed behind his back, placed in a police cruiser, and transported to the 69th Precinct.\n\nPhillips was fingerprinted, photographed, and then taken to Central Booking, where he was placed in a holding cell with approximately 25 other men.
