Plaintiff was arrested for trespassing, resisting arrest, and possession of drugs. In arresting Plaintiff, defendants used undue force upon him, having no privilege whatever to seize him and causing him physical offense and injury in the process. Plaintiff has been a target of this precinct and these particular officers, defendant police officers Luis Pichardo, defendant police officer Tavarez, defendant police officer Penamedina, defendant police officer Carrer, and defendant police officer Guerrero, for years. Plaintiff previously filed claims for false arrest and harassment against the City and Officers Pichardo and Taverez. Plaintiff believes that they sought to retaliate against him for having sought to redress his rights despite his rights to do so. Plaintiff was unable to pay the bail that was set, causing him to remain imprisoned as a result of Defendants' false statements regarding the existence of probable cause. Plaintiff was released when the prosecution did not present the case to the grand jury. Plaintiff was incarcerated for approximately seven days and was required to attend various court appearances. On January 5, 2017, Plaintiff's case was dismissed in its entirety in a termination favorable to him.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=jv2Q8FCgE8/9u7uxeIudZg==","type":"complaint"}]},{"name":"Jackson, Kendell vs Henry, Ray, et al.","start_date":"2014-12-19","disposition_date":"2015-08-01","payout_amount":30000,"disposition":"Settlement","docket":"14CV09724","court":"U.S. District Court - Southern District NY","officer_name":"Pichardo, Luis","summary":"On February 3, 2012, Plaintiff was leaving his apartment when several Police Officers including Defendant Officer Pichardo and Contreras, exited their vehicles, handcuffed, and arrested him.
