Plaintiff, who was not resisting and was not informed that he was being placed under arrest, was restrained and assaulted by Officers Manuel Martinez, Nancy Afaneh, Hassan Gheith, Michael Roder, and “P.O. John and Jane Doe 1-10.” Plaintiff was body slammed into the street, and Officers Martinez, Gheith, Roder, and other unnamed officers punched the plaintiff in the head and body. The same officers then held the plaintiff down and put their knees on his neck as he was kicked and stomped by Officer Afaneh, along with two other unnamed officers. Throughout the assault, other unnamed officers and employees of the NYPD and City of New York remained at the scene and did not attempt to intervene. \n\nPlaintiff’s car was searched and his property seized. He was then handcuffed and transported to the 68th Police Precinct, where he was kept against his will, processed, and subsequently prosecuted.
