After the driver ran away and was pursued by police, Plaintiffs joined others who were standing near the abandoned car.  The Plaintiffs could see cash, cigarettes and other items through the open door.  While standing there, three NYPD officers approached Plaintiffs from behind with guns drawn and told them to get on the ground.  Plaintiffs were handcuffed and held in front of their neighbors.  Plaintiff Deirdre Myers was held of 2 days before being charged with petit larceny, despite not having taken anything.  Plaintiff Kenya Myers, a minor, was held for several hours and released without charges.
