Plaintiff and his friends stood on the street to observe when Defendant Officer John Doe #1 approached them and told them to \"Go away\". Plaintiff and his friends complied. As Plaintiff walked away Defendant Doe #1 pushed him. Plaintiff asked not to be pushed. After this comment, Defendant Doe ordered Defendant Doe #2-7 to arrest him. The defendants forced Plaintiff to the ground. Defendant Doe #2 put Plaintiff in handcuffs. Plaintiff was then taken several blocks away and placed on the sidewalk with other protesters who had been arrested. Plaintiff would stay there for several hours. At 1:30 AM Defendant Ferreira then asked Charles for his name, date of birth, and for his identification. After providing the Information Plaintiff was placed in an unairconditioned van for 30 min before being transported to One Police Plaza at 2:10 AM.  Defendant Ferreira issued Plaintiff an appearance ticket for Disorderly Conduct,  the charge would later be dropped. \n\nJulian Gilbert: Plaintiff Gilbert attended a vigil at McCarren Park and participated in a peaceful march.  Police Officers had began to block off the area. While trying to find a safe path to leave, Plaintiff was ordered to leave. He complied and continued to make his way away from the march. Once a few blocks away Plaintiff went to get on his bike when four officers turned onto the street. An officer in white shouted, \"Grab him.\" Plaintiff felt Officers John Doe #8 and #9 hit his legs and the back wheel of his bicycle with their batons. While the officers were hitting Plaintiff, Defendant Doe #10, yanked him from his bicycle and threw him face down onto the ground. One of the officers threw Julian’s bicycle into a trash pile.  Defendant #11 then placed Julian in metal handcuffs. Defendant Does #12 and #13 escorted Plaintiff to a police van. He was later transported to Central Booking. Julian was confined in Central Booking until approximately 2:00 AM,  Defendant Husbands issued him an appearance ticket for violating the Curfew, a class B misdemeanor, and he was released. Julian’s charge never was docketed.\n\nJune 4, 2020 Protest in Mott Haven: Three of the Plaintiffs — Baron, Martin, and Moore — were arrested at about the same time during a peaceful protest in Mott Haven. Before 8:00 PM, police officers surrounded the Mott Haven protest and\n“kettled” the group to prevent protesters from leaving the area. \nDerek Baron: The pressure from officers moving in cause plaintiff to fall to the ground. While trying to stand up Defendant Doe #14 threw them to the ground face first. Defendant Doe  #15 put his knee on Plaintiffs neck while Defendant Doe #16 put on zip ties in an extremely tight manner. Defendant  Doe #17 hit Plainttiff in the temple. Defendant Doe #18 then picked Plaintiff up by the armpit and led Plaintiff to a van, where Defendant Doe #18 and Defendant Doe #19 searched Plaintiff's person.  Plaintiff was taken to central booking. Defendant Nieves then gave them an appearance ticket, specifying the charge against Plaintiff simply as violating “3108.” \nEmily Martin: The pressure from the crowd caused Plaintiff to fall. She was lying on the ground on top of Plaintiff Baron, with four or five people on top of her. Plaintiff felt a burning sensation in her throat and lungs that she believed was pepper spray or tear gas. After officers pulled the people on top of Emily away, Defendant  Jane Doe struck Emily in the torso with the baton multiple times.  Defendant Doe #22 then held Emily while Defendant Doe #21 used zip ties to restrain Emily’s hands behind her back. Defendant King held Emily by the arm for approximately thirty\nminutes.  Defendant King then ordered Emily to enter an unmarked van. Emily was taken to the 48th Precinct in the Bronx, and later she was transported to Brooklyn Central Booking. Early on June 5, 2020, she finally was given an appearance ticket issued by Defendant King, dated June 4, 2020, and released. The appearance ticket specified the charge against Emily as “violating the Curfew,” a class B misdemeanor.\nNicholas Moore: The officers pushed the crowd, causing Nicholas to fall to the ground. As he tried to get back up, Defendant Doe #24 forcefully pushed\nPlaintiff back down. Defendant Doe #24 immediately grabbed Nicholas’s hands and put them tightly in zip ties behind his back. Officer John Doe #24 made Nicholas stand up and handed him off to another officer, Defendant King. Nicholas was transported to the 48th Precinct. Around two hours later, Nicholas was sent to Brooklyn Central Booking.
