Brathwaite was properly walking from #2 Train Station at 180th St. of Bronx and to his home 1936 E Tremont Ave of Bronx. The officers suddenly called out to Brathwaite and informed him that a robbery occurred nearby. They then began searching Brathwaite without his consent. When Brathwaite tried to leave, Brathwaite was subject to a chokehold, fired a taser, and was hit with a blunt object. Upon hitting the ground, he was continued to be assaulted by all the officers: he was tased again, kneed, and punched around his body and head. \nWhile being detained, Brathwaite felt severe back pain and requested medical care, but was ignored until eventually he was transported to a hospital. Meanwhile, Brathwaite's parents were provided with false information regarding his arrest, and the officers falsified evidence. When Brathwaite was released, he was released without money or a method of going back home. As a consequence, Brathwaite suffered from physical and emotional injury, pain, indignant, humiliation, distress, and defamation.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=l_PLUS_maEReMBouS0921tjrBtQ==","type":"complaint"}]},{"name":"Murray, Tiffany vs City of New York, et al.","start_date":"2015-12-30","disposition_date":"2016-10-04","payout_amount":40000,"disposition":"Settlement","docket":"305212/2015","court":"Supreme Court - Bronx","officer_name":"Echevarria, John"}],"discipline":[{"disposition_date":"2023-02-15","case_no":"2022-25522","recommendation":"Other","allegations":[{"desc":"Failed to make required entries in Department logs."},{"desc":"Failed to timely activate their body worn camera."},{"desc":"Violated patrol rules."}]},{"disposition_date":"2015-01-31","case_no":"2014-12782","penalty":"Counseling, pre-trial suspension days (34 days)","charges":[{"desc":"While off-duty, engaged in conduct prejudicial to the good order, efficiency or discipline of the Department,  threatened an individual known to the Department.","disposition":"Guilty"},{"desc":"While off-duty, having become aware that he was the subject of a police investigation conducted by the newburg police Department, failed to notify the Department.","disposition":"Guilty"}],"documents":[{"name":"Employment History Summary","url":"https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/22085812-seh_953836","type":"employment-history"}]}],"image":"https://www.50-a.org/images/officer/MHER-john-echevarria.jpg","payroll":{"salary":"119429","regular":"115163","overtime":"475","other":"20249","total":"135887"},"id":"MHER","url":"https://www.50-a.org/officer/MHER"}
