Police officers Christopher Alikhan, Patrick Obrien, Nicholas Gigante, and Vincent Tulipano removed Davis from the vehicle and threw him to the ground where they punch and kicked him repeatedly in the face, ribs, shoulder, and back. Davis and Houston were arrested, placed in custody, handcuffed, and transported to the 114th Precinct. At the precinct, Police officer Gigante and others smashed Davis' face against a wall causing him to fall to the ground and lose consciousness. On May 7, Police Officer Christopher Alikhan caused a criminal court complaint to be filed. Davis was held in custody overnight until May 7 when he appeared for arraignment and was released.
