He asked why, and he replied that he wanted to see it because he wanted to see it.  As Plaintiff stood up to give the officer his identification, the officer grabbed him by the front pocket, threw him down the stairs and onto the concrete ground.  The officer began kicking him, and NYPD Police Officer Jerry Rivera joined him in doing so.  Officers Carina Herrera and others then joined in the kicking and punching.  They then pulled Plaintiff's arms behind his back and handcuffed him without legal basis.  They smashed his head into the ground, knocking out a tooth.  Plaintiff suffered multiple distressing injuries, including requiring an emergency root canal.
