Officer John Doe then searched Mr. Lynch and then proceeded to handcuff him for gambling. Mr. Lynch was placed into an unmarked van – in the process, Officers John Doe and John Doe #1 intentionally caused Mr. Lynch’s nose to strike the right door of the van, causing a laceration to the bridge of his nose. Mr. Lynch was then taken to a local precinct and subject to a third search by the Officers. Mr. Lynch was then held for about 24 hours in custody before he was charged by Officer Conway with loitering and remaining in a public place for the purposes of gambling.
