Despite being authorized to sleep there, defendant officers persisted in attempting to force the plaintiff to leave and tried handcuffing him, but the Plaintiff pulled his arms away. Defendant officer Vega subsequently swung his closed fist at the plaintiff's head, causing plaintiff to land face down on a nearby couch. Defendant officer Bruzzese then held the plaintiff down on the couch while defendant Vega continued to punch and strike the plaintiff approximately two dozen times. Defendant Bruzzese also repeatedly beat the plaintiff with her baton and pepper sprayed the plaintiff in his face and eyes. Defendant officers continued to beat the plaintiff for more than two minutes. Plaintiff was then arrested and imprisoned for about four days.
