The police officers stated that the temporary Texas license plate on the car’s rear was not visible and the window tints too dark. Despite Plaintiff providing a copy of the temporary plate information, his title and his driver’s license and the DMV check confirming that the car was properly registered, police officers maliciously overcharged Plaintiff with felony possession of forged instrument. Plaintiff was assaulted and battered and taken to the 83rd Precinct where he was denied to have a DAT, improperly fingerprinted and photographed, held in a cell and then transported to central booking. Approximately a day prior, on November 3, Plaintiff was made aware that the Officers were seeking to arrest Plaintiff for an incident that occurred on August 17, 2020 without warrant, probable cause, or reasonable suspicion. The Officers accused Plaintiff of a criminal offense, demanded Plaintiff to put his hands behind his head, and proceeded to violently contort Plaintiff's arms behind his back and applied too tight handcuffs on Plaintiff, ignoring Plaintiff's pleas to loosen the handcuffs. \n\nDespite the exculpatory information offered by Plaintiff, the Officers illegally detained the Plaintiff for approximately 34 hours.
