The discharge of the taser knocked the plaintiff to the ground forcefully.  He struck his wrist and sustained scrapes and bruises.  The plaintiff was handcuffed on the ground.  Later the police transported the plaintiff to a precinct, where he was detained for several hours.  As a result of being tased, the plaintiff sustained a serious injury to his left wrist, causing significant pain and discomfort.
