The security officer handcuffed Plaintiff, took him to a back room, and called the police. PO Ronald Taylor and another officer responded. Plaintiff overheard POs discussing throwing away Plaintiff's possessions, including his sneakers, cell phone, and personal identification including a birth certificate and social security card. When POs turned back to Plaintiff, Plaintiff told them they were not going to take his possessions. PO Taylor responded \"I'm going to do what the fuck I want to do and show you what it feels like to take things from people.\" PO Taylor then shoved handcuffed Plaintiff against a wall and repeatedly punched, slapped, and struck Plaintiff's head, face, neck, and back. Once the first beating concluded Plaintiff cursed and spit at PO Taylor, who resumed the assault. Plaintiff sustained multiple injuries including a fractured nose and ruptured eardrum. Plaintiff was taken to the 44th Precinct and pled guilty to harassment. Plaintiff was later contacted by Internal Affairs regarding PO Taylor's actions, who told him the incident was captured on video tape. PO Taylor was later arrested for assault and harassment. Plaintiffs were among the individuals initially seized and placed into handcuffs. The detainees were being placed into a police van when more items were thrown from the roof. Officers then unlawfully arrested two additional Plaintiffs. When Plaintiff LaKeath Berrian asked the officers to explain their actions he was tacked, assaulted, and arrested. Plaintiff Jodeci Gaddy was also grabbed and thrown to the ground. Plaintiffs Alshante Baker and Donell Williams were sprayed with pepper spray for no legitimate reason. Plaintiff Jahleel Brown was punched in the face by a police officer while sitting handcuffed in a police car.
