P.O. Jane Doe sat next to him, introduced herself, and informed him that an ambulance had arrived and that they were going to take him to Beth Israel Hospital. Mr. Williams assumed they were taking him to speak with a crime victim's counselor and complied.\n\nUpon arrival at Beth Israel, several medical employees walked him into a room with a padded floor, wrestled him to the ground, and restrained him. He did not fight back. They then sedated him. In short, Mr. Williams was involuntarily committed to a mental hospital on the basis of the NYPD's perception that he was under the influence of paranoid delusions. \n\nIn February 2013, Mr. Williams met with ADA Cannata and NYPD Detective Mistritta.
